Privacy Policy

Readora is designed as a local-first reader. The launch version has no advertising, no cross-app tracking, and no required Readora account.

Information stored on your device

Your library, reading progress, bookmarks, notes, source configurations, replacement rules, and chapter cache are stored on your device. Text-to-speech credentials are stored in the system Keychain and are excluded from Readora backup files.

iCloud

Data is written to your own iCloud Drive only when you enable cross-device reading or create an iCloud backup. This data is governed by your Apple Account and Apple’s privacy policy.

Network requests

When you search or read network books, Readora connects to source addresses you import or select. Online text-to-speech sends the text being read to the voice provider you select. Third-party providers may process IP address, request time, text, and usage data under their own privacy policies.

Data we collect

Readora does not operate an analytics, advertising, account, or tracking backend in the launch version. We do not receive your library, notes, reading history, source credentials, or voice-service credentials.

Your controls

You can delete books, caches, notes, sources, and service credentials in the app, and disable cross-device sync. Uninstalling removes on-device data but does not automatically remove backups already stored in your iCloud Drive.

Children

Readora is a general-purpose reading tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If a future version adds advertising, analytics, accounts, or other data collection, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before release.
